Hi all, I am curently using a free window 10 upgrade from a window 7 os on my hdd.

My question is when I get a ssd will I be able to install windows 10 and how can I do it? Or will I only be able to install windows 7 since I do not have the window 10 disc. Any help?

Some SSD may come with cloning software. It may take 30 minutes to 1 hour to clone depending on data on your HDD.

get the media creation tool and load it into a 8GB thumbdrive
it will help you to make it bootable.
you just need a fast internet connection.
once done, put the new ssd in.
In the bios option, select boot from usb .
You windows 10 will be installed onto your new SSD.
That's it.

input ur windows 7 key that u use previously on your hdd.

that should allow you to go thru the Windows 10 activation.

No need to input any keys.
Once upgraded to windows 10, activation is automatic when you clean install on the new ssd.
