i just got a laptop without a dvd drive and i'm planning to switch the hdd out with an ssd, it comes with windows 8.1
how do i install windows on it, i don't mind doing a clean install since i have nothing on the laptop now anyway, anyone got a guide or can guide me through it? thanks :)

U got the key on the sticker underneath the laptop right? U just download Win 8.1 setup file to a USB drive. Swap out the HDD to SSD, boot from the USB drive and key in your product key to activate. Thats all.

might need to read this: Upgrade Windows with only a product key - Microsoft Windows Help to obtain the ISO for reinstalling Windows...

thanks guys, i couldn't find my product key but i found this
Windows 8 moves to BIOS-based product keys | Windows 8 - CNET Reviews
so i'm guessing i can just install my ssd and set it as the boot drive and that's all? can anyone confirm?
