Hi guys I'm in a tight budget so strictly will no go over 1k$..i know intel system is a bit more expensive so was wondering if it's worth it getting entry level gpu over an apu.. The reason im getting intel is because those shops in sl wont offer 0% installment plans, I would have liked apu but i think only pc themes offer amd but they won't offer installment plan.. Thanks

HDD: TOSHIBA 1TB 7200RPM (69)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: THERMALTAKE SMART SE 530W (75)
Case: CM K282 / K350 / K380 (55)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (125)

Total cost: $996

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) As video editing requires CPU power and does not benefit from a GPU, the weaker CPU component in the AMD APU is not suitable for video editing tasks.

2) The Powercolor R7 265 will provide sufficient GPU power for decent gaming performance. (Just wondering though, what games do you play?)

3) Due to lack of budget, there is no SSD in the rig. Consider getting an SSD in the future as the fast Read/Write speeds of an SSD when compared to a HDD will be of great help in video editing.
