Intel Z370 graphics resolution/refresh rate support

Hi,

I intend to purchase a new system that has an Intel Z370 chipset, and since I don't game, I intend to use the integrated Intel HD graphics. I also intend to get a Prism+ X340 monitor, which supports 3440 X 1440@100Hz.

Would the integrated Intel HD graphics support this resolution/refresh rate, or would I need a discrete graphics card?

Err... your board must have Display Port or HDMI 2.0. Check which port Prism+ supports 3440 X 1440@100Hz

Considering the Gigabyte Z370M-DH3 or Asrock Z370M Pro 4. The former lists HDMI 1.4 support at its product page, but the latter doesn't indicate the version in it's product page.

Neither list DP support.

Both list a max resolution support of 4096x2160@30 Hz though. Looks like I'm outta luck?

You would need a MB with DP support for max resolution 4096x2304@60 Hz. Looks like this should also cover 3440X1440@100Hz based on pixel-count but can't confirm.

HDMI will not work.
