Anyone who put UoG CS as your first choice received any interview invitation already? Or usually when is the interview period for this course? Submitted at 6 Feb and still waiting.
Thanks

Yes DSA is required for UOG Computing Science.

NYP student from DIT, DIS, MICT, DEI have higher chance of getting into this course.

You need to have DSA knowledge to survive in that degree program.

Other polytechnic as long as you have taken DSA elective should have higher chance too.

Thanks guyz92. Yes DSA, the distinguishing factor.

Sorry for reviving old thread.
Have you gotten in? I'm trying to apply for this year again :)

If you are trying to apply for this programme, you might want to read this for new info.

https://www.singaporetech.edu.sg/digitalnewsroom/sit-and-university-of-glasgow-strengthen-partnership-to-boost-talent-pipeline-in-engineering-and-ict-sectors/

Next yr onwards it'll be a joint degree from SIT & UoG. 3 year programme instead of current 2yrs.

Hi, people that managed to get into UoG Computing Science what the chances for someone with 3.0~ GPA engineering diploma to get in or it's totally unheard of?

edit: I took one gap year to work full time and intend to apply for this year's intake

Read up on my above post if you havent.

With the changes in place, its hard for anyone to say if entry requirements & standards would be changed or adjusted.

But nevertheless worth a try. No loss in trying anyway. Good luck.

One suggestion is to look at the modules included in the new programme structure.

Not really. I'm working as a technician in semiconductor

Yeah, I read it and the changes seem better for someone without " Relevant diploma" since it turned a 2 years course to 3 years.
I asked the previous question just to have a gauge if the entry requirement very high but thanks! you're right I should try regardless
