iphone 11 user, no mask ID. Apple making you pay for it to work.

Maybe iPhone 12 and up Face ID camera is more advanced.

yes only 12 and above will get mask with face id, having said that it works flawlessly

The truedepth camera on the 12 and 13 can do deep fusion while the one before 12 cannot. Maybe that's why only 12 and above can unlock with mask likely deep fusion are involved too.

Yes, updated from 15.3.1 to 15.4 RC and was about 5GB download for me. So far it’s working fine especially the Face ID with mask feature

From Apple’s website they mentioned 15.4 will be released next week
