Huawei mate 20 also. I don't know how much ram it has but definitely faster than my Oppo Reno 4 pro which is 3 years newer.
My wife used p40 pro also still faster and no lag than my phone newer than hers

Best is she said never hang before

We know why America is fearful of Huawei.
lol because those outdated chips for these pre-sanction period phones are produced by TSMC. dats y Apple pay premium to buy almost all tsmc capacity + iOS = unparalleled. samsung flagship that use gen 3 qualcomm chip also tsmc dats y their performance are on par with apple now but still need higher ram. without tsmc huawei phones are **** their Kirin 9000s n copycatos also need 12gb/16gb ram still perform worse than their android counterparts

Apple phones have much less functionality and are more restrictive. Compared to Android, which is made to be interoperable, Apple phones don't need to run as many services. The control of background services in Apple phones is also very aggressive.

In 2024, iOS still does not allow basic things like split screen mode, so nothing on the Phone could use the RAM capacity. Honestly, the iPhone is quite stupid as a smartphone device because multitasking is nearly impossible on iOS. Also, the chipset throttling on iPhone is very extreme.

On Android, it's not that controlled. You get most of the features across all Android phones, and it's basically up to the user to manage the resources. If you get a high-end phone with 12/16 GB RAM, you can run multiple heavy apps on split screen mode simultaneously without lag. It will use the RAM and hardware, and you can even have background apps running on top of this. You could possibly do this on a low-end phone as well, but obviously, it won't be a fair comparison because the iPhone's starting prices are already pretty expensive.

If you want to buy an iPhone, get a low-end one because a high-end one and a low-end one do not make much difference since iOS is the main limitation. On Android, whether you can use so much RAM is really up to you since the possibilities are endless.

If you compare high-end iPhones and Android, Android is a much more robust overall device.

I got a whopping 16GB on my Android, but honestly, I'm clueless about making the most out of it.

Finally, one that tell the facts which iphone refuse to acknowledge.
Most iphone user doesn't really know what they are missing on, until they use a high -end Android.

But aren’t you making this statement on the assumption apple users actually care?

I'm using both iOS and Android. Even with 8GB/12GB RAM on Android, it's still slower than 6GB/8GB on iOS.
i agree and samsung over 1 year still slow long despite flagship - s23 and s24 base mode 8 gb l is a joke?

an iphone 14 with lesser ram stil beat smoothness in samsung flagship base model la

Android user will say android is good, iOS is not and will give tons of reasons to support their claim.

Having more phone memory will not change the way one uses their phone. Maybe some will, most won't.

Yes, to each its own.
Just use whatever to your liking, or use both system, best of both worlds.
