Just went out today with a 100% iPhone at around 12pm.

By around 5pm it is already 30%.

So the phone usage was around 4hours (frequent texting).

Any idea how to make sure the phone dont die on me while I am outside? Any recommendations for battery banks?

Texting via SMS or iMessage or Whatsapp ????

if you're only plainly sms-ing, turn off 3G/LTE or best turn off cellular, you'll be surprised how much longer your battery can last

if you're sms-ing + imessaging/whatsapping in text, turn off 3G/LTE

if you're not utilising the free wifi provided any wireless@sg or in-house free/protected wifi, turn off WIFI too as it constantly searches for wifi signals and drains battery

turn off iads in settings, turn off everything you think is constantly pinging the server for data.... always empty your background apps as sometimes they are still alive and pinging the server for data

Also check if there's any active app using ur location service. Suspect location service might be draining your batt. Apps that constantly ping for your location will be a batt killer.

Considering its an iPhone 4, I think it's better u spend $30 to change the batt.

I had similar problems (prob not as bad drain as yrs) on my 2yr old iPhone 4, and its so much better now w a new batt.

iPhone 4 batteries trend to drain super quickly. Make sure bluetooth and wifi aren't on unless you need them!
