I feel like this is was written by someone who regretted spending that much money on a foldable.
I personally uses an Oppo Find N3, the very first one from Oppo.
And I love it, never had problems with it.
I found it more durable than all my previous single screen phones, which I've had a lot of problems with before.
My only gripe with it is that foldables are generally thicker, so that means they don't fit into regular phone holders like normal phones do.
and because it's a foldable, you can't really get nice looking phone cases for it, like you can only get from taobao or aliexpress etc, which I do not have too much problems with, and if you have a case, you must have the case for the front of the phone on, otherwise it would be lopsided and is very weird to hold, and the front case is usually very thin, so it can break quite easily.
I do not know about Samsung, but I'm a Chinese phone convert, and I love my Oppo.
I had Huawei before and I loved my past Huawei.
So yeah, I personally have no problems with "CHINESE MADE" foldables, if we are being specific.
My own personal use case is i like to use it when I am at a restaurant and i need to have a wider screen to see the menu, it doesn't work for all websites, because for some reason, some websites are very poorly optimized for wider screens, and I also use it for work occassionally when I will open it up and use the inside screen to show excel sheets or brochures to clients. It's very good for when the display is very small and your client has a problem seeing small screens.
It beats having to bring along a tablet, especially if it is a 7" inch tablet, which I think is just too close in size to mobile phones. Also, a lot of apps are not properly optimized for tablets, like Microsoft office is horrible on mobile devices, I previously contemplated getting a iPad Pro with magic keyboard to use for business travels, but then I remember how poorly some apps are and how there's no multi-tasking, so I ended up getting an iMac air because i want something light weight that I can lug around and it's cheaper than a surface laptop, which I also contemplated, btw, Surface has all moved to ARM cpus, meaning some softwares are actually not able to use on it. So I just go for macbook, cheaper and I know for sure that all softwares are available, and are properly optimized.
as for the iPhone Duo, I am very interested in it, but unfortunately, I have other expenses in life now that I need to take care of, so I can't buy it yet.
Maybe if they come out with the Duo 2, I may be able to afford it then.
