IPhone Storage Use “bloated”...

...barely less than 3monrh after migrating to a IphoneX...the data storage bloated by 100GB (yes Gig)...categorized as “others”...How to find out what are these and recover the storage space?

Likely it's analytical data, look under privacy-analytics-analytic data. If you see a long list of files under there?

Under your iPhone usage breakdown, you can see which app is taking up the spaces.

Thank you - tried (all the apps add up doesn’t account for the 100G usage too) in any case, there is a category for “App” usage which is a fraction of “System/others”.

Don't really make sense for normal usage to hit 100G in 3 months, was it reuse from someone before? Has it been jail break?

Happened to me before something to do with updating the iOS... check if you have downloaded and yet to install the updates

On my iPhone actually, my 6S Plus which has 64GB memory.

Guess something went haywire with the auto download so ended up with 34GB occupied by updates which is auto downloaded but uninstalled. Keeps getting warnings and unable to take photos for example since no more memory to store photos

In the end had to deleted the downloaded 34GB and reinstalled the update

Settings >General >iphone storage; it’s there as download or update, can’t recall the details. Option in there to delete
