That US website does nt reflect what u will get in SLS. And no warranty as well..

And the pricing is abit weird. If can get at that price in sgd, I will go hoot. Try checking out with the freight charges, I think one will 'chua sai'.

haha thanks
btw can i clarify some stuff. lol

if the mobo
Memory Standard: DDR3 2933+(OC)/2800(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)

does it means that the mobo is able to support ram (2400)
G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400

=D

Yup. Go to the bios setting and select the xmp profile. Key in the voltage and frequency accordingly and it should work. 2400 for the ram is quite an overkill though.

1) Name all games and programs that you wish to use with your new computer.

2) Budget?

3) Overclocking?

CPU+ Mobo: MSI B85-G41 PC MATE + i5 4460 (355)
RAM: G.SKILL RIPJAWS-X 1600MHZ ( 4GBx2pcs ) CL9 (115)
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 4GB TWIN FAN (509)
SSD: CRUCIAL MX100 256GB (160)
HDD: TOSHIBA 1TB 7200RPM (69)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: SEASONIC S12G-Non MODULAR 550W (109)
Case: CORSAIR 200R WINDOW EDITION (85)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (120)

Total cost: $1547

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, Sim Lim Square, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) If not overclocking, you do not need a K CPU, a Z motherboard and a CPU cooler.

2) Games generally do not benefit from hyperthreading, thus an i5 is used instead as getting an i7 will only result in an increase in 1-3 FPS at most.

3) A GTX 970 is used instead of a GTX 780Ti as it is 50% cheaper but with a performance that is close to the GTX 780Ti. The GTX 970 is also capable of playing Shadow of Mordor in Ultra settings, you just need to remember to download the Ultra texture pack for the game.

erm....
1) example:Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™
2) <1.5
3) nope

1) I know that you are trying to maximise cost savings by finding separate components at their cheapest prices from different sources. However, it is better to purchase from a single place in sls to haggle down the overall price. Do look at the price listing of tradepac.

2)For mobo, get a H97/Z97 type in order to use the latest processor without having to update your bios.

3)As you are not overclocking and on a budget, choose a 'non-K' processor to save cost significantly.

4)GPU wise, get a gtx 970 locally (diff brands have diff pricing, do check them out). For mid/mid-high range of gpu, it is better to purchase here than the overseas as the cost savings might not justify the rma headaches you could face when you encounter issues with your 'foreign' card. A gtx 970 also consumes less power and offers better power to performance ratio.

5)SSD- crucial mx100 (if you are tight on budget), if not you can go for the samsung evo 840.

6)PSU- a 600-650W power supply from seasonic or other consistent/reputable brands will suffice.

**It's kinda late alrdy haha hope tml some bros here can churn out the pricelist for you :) Cheers. Components which you have raised can definitely work together, but you are not getting the ideal performance you need based on your budget and use. Do note that having an i7 does not equate to having the best gaming performance & experience- this is a common misconception.

MB + CPU: MSI B85M-G45 + I5-4460 - $336
RAM: CORSAIR VENGENCE 1600MHZ (4GB x 2) - $116
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 970 4GB DDR5 - $508
SSD: CRUCIAL MX100 256 GB - $154
HDD: WD BLUE 1TB - $68
PSU: Seasonic G Series 550W - $120
CASE: Fractal Design Core 1500 - $85
OS: Windows 8.1 Home 64BIT - $138

Total - $1524

Write down the parts on a piece of paper, without these prices, bring to Tradepac @ #05-18 Sim Lim Square, ask them for a quote. Don't act blur, be firm in what you want. They should be able to quote you lower than this. If you not satisfied with the price, walk away.

Try to DIY yourself, I also just learnt how to DIY last year :)
No matter what, don't ask Tradepac to assemble for you. If really need someone to assemble for you, bring to Nigel @ #02-32 ask him to help you with the assembly, give him a fee of $20-$50.

Also note I didn't add in a DVD Drive, since most people nowadays don't use them. You can go online google how to install Windows from a USB drive. A min. 4GB thumb drive is needed.
