Hi guys!
Recently booked a trip to Taiwan and was recommended by some friends to use this cab driver contact, who will bring us around for personalised tours in Taipei, Taichung etc. Basically, he will bring us around Taiwan for the whole duration of the trip there.
So, he is asking me for my passport details etc to purchase an insurance which he says is not travel insurance. It is called 旅遊責任平安險. He says it is a recent requirement for tour guides to have this insurance, else they will be fined if caught operating without it. I had been to Taiwan a few times (1 year ago) and had never heard about this. However, he sounded sincere and reaffirms it is legit and even asked us to check if in doubt.
So I would like to find out if anyone knows anything about this recent requirement for tour guides to purchase 旅遊責任平安險 ? Many Thanks!
