will be very rush, n quite meaningless to reach alishan at night. even the earliest oso reach ard evening time

Day 3 not possible even with a driver.
Day 4 possible with a driver but scroll thru chop chop
Day 5 possible with public but wont see much

Day x Jinguashi + Jiufen + Yehliu + Shifen + Keelung + Pingxi possible with driver. Stop for awhile at each location except for the last.


I think you should google map Hualien, Taroko Gorge, Puli, Taichung, Alishan, Cingjing..And then you use Get Direction and see the distance between eachother and know hw much time to just drive from A to B..

Alishan seems out of the way, maybe might consider removing it

after alishan, move up to central for Taichung n move inland to cingjing. afterwhich cross over to hualien n move back to tpe b4 going to airport

due to the recent earthquake, if anything happen, u still can make it to airport for ur flight.

as u tour,u will tend to buy some gift or goodies, so if u travel to hualien n Taichung n back to tpe....u will end up carrying a lot of things( not forgetting, u still have not reach tpe)

as ur route will oso b smoother rather than running here n there wic will cost u a heavy budget on transport

Depends on when you leave, this recent tremor is still having its aftershocks. So not too advisable to take the cingjing to hualien path due to rockfalls are common just after the earthquake.

So do consider skipping hualien n saving it up for next trip, this will be better than thinking u can do everything but it just need a heavy shower in the day to ruin your entire trip.

i feel that yr day 3 is too rush. U need stay one night at cingjing.

yr plan is possible as long as you stay in car all the time.

For 2, 3, and 4 --> I got a quote from taxi about 12k TWD (pick up taichung, drop off hualien --> basically doing all the things we would like to do)

Pricing are pretty subjective as long as you have enough ppl to fill the cab and all come back happily every after, it is money well spent. Or perhaps ask around n see if anyone has such experience.
