Hi, I've been using a Samsung S3 LTE, and only changed my battery last month as the original battery was bloated. When i bought the new, original Samsung battery, i was advised by the Samsung staff not to use the phone while it is charging as he mentions that is one of the reasons that causes the battery bloating.

A few days ago and as of today, i noticed that the battery drains itself quite fast as i had it charged full to 100%, it went down to 98%, 97% even though i left it untouched for a few minutes. The new battery behaving this way is just like my previous, bloated battery, and assuming the quick drain could be due to usage while it's charging? While i had even calibrated the battery.

I was also told that the battery comes with a 6 month warranty, if i were to bring it to the Samsung service center, what would be done? Or can the battery be replaced again?

They still need to assess your phone together with the battery.

Sad to say, there is no diagnostic tool for battery. They can only measure the peak voltage to assess if capacity is there.

You might want to give the battery a few charge cycles to allow it to be conditioned..
