Is ITIL recommended for non-IT professionals? I'm a project manager for system enhancement projects. Working closely with the IT team. U can call me a system user. Would ITIL be beneficial to me?

ITIL is all about managing IT in a structured manner. It's principles and concepts can even be applied to the business; there's a field is study call USMBOK which is for business and is roughly based off ITIL.

Being a PM for system projects, I'd say that you're an IT professional too. It will definitely benefit you as it'll give you an understanding of how operations thinks/works, so that the projects you manage will take that into consideration and plan, design, transition your projects properly with the aim of minimising issues when it goes into production.
