Japan 3G SIM?

Hi everyone,
my family & I going to Japan for the first time this June.
Going with Travel Agency so not so worried about the places, but I got some questions about Japan SIM cards.
When I ask my travel agent about internet and everything in Japan, they say must buy 3G prepaid sim.
But that's all they say leh.
I still have a few questions, like approximately how much does it cost?
And does it make the phone interface into full Japanese or something?
Also, what if still got value left in the card when I come back to Singapore?

just returned from Tokyo this morning.
hmmm, for the sim card one, if you only wanna to surf internet, you can buy the b-mobile 1GB sim card or the U300 u-sim card at their website.

I bought the 1GB sim card before I went to Japan. I asked them to mail to my hotel. But you need to order at least one week before your trip. Activation a bit troublesome, i rmb someone post instructions b4 in the forum. if you needed, i can send it to you via email.

I have ntt docomo 1GB sim card for sale. I did nt use it as my hotel all have wifi so PM me if u nd the data sim. The sim i bot just for surfing web plug and play but its normal sim not for iphone users.

there's no such thing as prepaid SIM like when you go China.. you have to rent one or buy the data SIM which what lucashell or joel mention.

Hi all,

I am a iphone 4S user and will be headed to Osaka for a business trip from 1/7 - 7/7. I would like to check if the airport will have some prepaid 3G SIM cards for sale and the cost of it.

What would be the package be like and if possible, the name of the telecom providing the service.

Most likely I'll be getting from the airport. My requirements are unlimited 7 days of 3G, do not need any local minutes. Budget is around $50 SGD.
