CX is doing Sin-Kix, Sin-Nrt at 744 for single travel.
Not a special promotion since this has been on going for sometime already.
Has transit at HKG, but with the shortest transit the travel time is about 9 hrs.
Travel is during daytime, so you lose 1 day's worth of daylight.

so far, its mostly NWA but if anyone got info for JAL or ANA is a good offer to go with them due to the good reports I heard about the pleasant flights. You'll enjoy sitting for longer than usual, its how good their flight experience promises to be. Sorry I don't have pictures but there is a blog that focused on this. Anyway, lets keep in touch about it.

Only thing wif CX is that travel takes the whole day (to & fro). So for butties who are on valuable annual vacations plse consider carefully.
otherwise, CX is a truely good airline ... good food, and if you select properly good planes with excellent AVOD.

yea. correction : this promotion is avaliable on other destinations to Japan

reasonable depending on when you travelling. might even drop further as travelling is more exp due to poor economic conditions and strong yen etc...
I bought my tix for 699 now NWA seems to offer it at 655(same date ) so depend on whether you want to wait or like me, I just booked for ease of mind and to finalise travel plans earlier...

Anyway, NWA having promo for tix to Japan though it is not officially out yet, so keep a lookout.
655 to tokyo, 660 to osaka if I'm not wrong...

Yup..just when i thought that their promotion has ended..they came up with another 1 very soon. I am looking at the P.H in end of Apr.. ooh..u booked 699.. i think i should be making my decsion soon~

I checked the website, the cheaper fares are the ones which has a stopover in HK or some other city. Those kind of flights usually take much longer than the direct flights like the ones normally 7.5 hours or so if going to most places in Japan. Such like Narita.

NATAS will be out on 27th Feb onwards so we should keep each other updated about this upcoming trend. I do see a flock of eager holiday goers gearing up for this so, I'm gonna have to start planning something on accommodation and the exact location such like either Tokyo or Kyoto in order to be calmer in my flight bookings then.

Though, could anyone care to comment about the flight experience in CX or NWA?

I only heard that ANA or JAL was quite superb due to their food and in flight activites...

PSPS. my fault. i totally forgot to put that cathay pac flights are transit.

thought it was common knowledge. and by default understanding.

all of cathay pacific flights route through their hub in HK. dont think they use singapore as a stopover or hub to anywhere else.

its not. u just need to know how to search carefully. Nwa usually uses a certain class for promo fares. try searching by that class instead.

another explaination for it is that as a business model, airlines reserve something like X percentage of Seats (under a certain class, like in NWA's case, T L or M class) for that promo fare.

its possible that the dates you are going on are high season and that the seats and class have been fully booked. or the possibility that the seats and class are "blackout" (i.e airline not offering promotional prices during that period)

search around that period ?

and your travel dates.

1) select search by booking class

and you should see something like this :

2) you should see this flight. if there is a Y under the letter T, it means that there are seats in this fare class (checking for flights leaving singapore)

3) repeat step 2 to find seats for flights leaving Japan

You should be able to Book on those dates that have a YES.

and if you still cant get a booking, call NWA booking hotline and quote this fare reference
