Japan itinerary

hi guys,

need some advice over here. Will be traveling to japan this mid march for about 8 days. Intending to travel out of Tokyo this time round. Purpose for this trip is cherry blossom, sightseeing and some shopping. Any suggestions?

Will be flying in and out of Tokyo. I am currently looking at places like Yokohama, Kamakura and Hakone. Should i base in tokyo?
I am intending to stay one night at Hakone for their osen, any recommendations?
Where else should i explore?

Too early for sakura. First visit? Staying within Tokyo is fine.

Is sakura out in mid march? I would suggest you going straight to hakone for at least 1 to 2 nights before travelling back to tokyo n base yourself there. Yokohama is reachable within 45 mins from Tokyo I think. You can take day trip to explore nikko, kawasaki, kamakura, chiba city

I am traveling 20th to 28th. Hopefully able to catch a glimpse of the cherry blossom. Your idea sounds good. Do you have any recommendation for the osen stay at hakone?

Probably just buds. Unless the weather is cranky like a few years ago. Next time try February instead. I went for Kawazu-zakura and Atami-zakura for past two years instead.
