You can email them and ask.

I booked my router with them before with a discount code, but then they introduced a new promotion with more discount a few weeks later. Since it's still months before my travel date, I asked them if I can cancel my current reservation and take up a new reservation with the new promo, they simply just book my existing reservation under the new reduced promo rate.

Only difference is reserving overseas routers don't need to pay upon reservation. Can cancel anytime. Yours is prepaid already? I think they are quite flexible though... No harm asking.

Thanks. I just dropped them an email about this.
Edit: only purchases after 17th April are eligible. Mine was on the 10th, so I'm not getting it.

I also might have set the timing a bit too early (8pm for collection) for a 12am flight. So I was wondering if not reaching at the scheduled time for jrpass/router collection will void my booking? They're not that merciless, right? :(

One last thing is that I was wondering what's the JRpass size? Will it be small enough to fit into a wallet? If it doesn't fit, I'll have to get a lanyard for it. Scared to lose it...!! If I do lose it, could I get the pass reissued and collect?

I see most of my friends who will be only using the Bullet Train once ( commonly from Tokyo to Kyoto ) buying the JR pass... seriously stop.

Price from Japan to Kyoto Bullet train. - $180
Normal Suica Card travelling around Tokyo / Osaka or Kyoto - $60 - Max$100

7 days JR Pass - $350?

JR Pass is recomended if u use the bullet train more than once.

Hi.

Need to check if the JR pass is worth it.
Family of 4 adults & 3 kids.

In 2 weeks time, we'll be in Osaka - Kyoto - Nagoya.
It's kinda confusing in terms of the types of train we have to take.

So far I know
1. Osaka airport to Namba (Osaka): JPY420 via Nankai Express ... SGD6
2. Osaka to Kyoto: JPY560 via Special Rapid ... SGD7
3. Kyoto to Nagoya: JPY5440 via Kodama trains? ...SGD70
4. Nagoya station to Nagoya airport: jPY1230 ... SGD15

And I'm we're staying near the main train stations in each city. I guess it's not worth it after all.

the JR pass is worth it if you take a round trip between tokyo and osaka on the shinkansen.

Nankai is not JR so cannot use but IIRC there i also JR line from kansai airport to osaka. the JR line is also like a loop like in tokyo.
I don't remember the nagoya airport has a JR line to nagoya station....and I feel taking the limousine bus is more convenient because u dun have to struggle with luggage - they load it for you.

in each city there are JR lines and there are other operators. JR pass only covers for the JR lines (including bullet trains).
however there are also other train passes and limited express trains that run between cities so that may be much cheaper. I remember buying the kintetsu rail pass for my one day return trip between namba to nagoya and taking the limited express between the two cities.

remember to have nagoya local delicacies. misokatsu, miso nikomi, tebasaki(furaibo but i prefer sekai no yamachan) and hitsumabushi (from atsuta houraiken)

I'd be around osaka/kyoto and nagoya around the same time.
