Quite a lot of ppl know JR pass can use for NEX. You used it on the last day rite when going to airport to return home? You got buy NEX + Suica card package?

Better to fly to Haneda than Narita though, especially if staying in Shinjuku. Faster to get to hotel. Flew ANA to Narita Feb 2010. But ANA started flights to Haneda liao in Oct 2010. Cos they added a new terminal 3 for international flights at Haneda.

Didnt get the suica as my plan includr going down to osaka n hiroshima. Just got the jr pass which covered my last 7 days transport. First 3 days just pay as i go .. didnt spend much either as i spend 1 day in asakusa n ueno each.

I took narita but my hotel was just 1 stop away from the tokyo sks ... which was convient enuff for me to move ard n bk on my last day.

need some advice on Hakone:
- is it a norm for most pple to take the ropeway/boat route to tour the area?
- where can i get the best view of mount fuji from Hakone?
- any recommendations for ryokan in hakone which is not too pricey?
TIA~

yes this is the view from below the shrine. The shrine which is the 2nd pic is quite near the top of the mountains around murodo. The 1st pic is the rest shelter at 3003m. The tori in the 1st pic is the entrance to the shrine.

Overlooking murodo. You can see the small buildings (the red roof is the bus terminal that greets every visitor). There is another series of buildings below the bus terminal, nearer the lake. I believe one of that is where Bro Evil stayed recently ?

So looking from the lake (the pic below from a much earlier trip), i would be standing on top of the ridge at the left.

++++++++++++++++++++

At the leftmost a sliver of bluish water, is Kurobe-ko, where some people would see if they went to kurobe-dam. Behind the line of mountains in the horizon is Kamikochi.

hello everyone, i'm going during the cherry blossom season (april).
Just want to enquire about the clothing i should prepare? Tokyo/Osaka should be around 10-20deg C?
Is t-shirt,jeans, and normal jacket (wear in lecture hall type) sufficient, or should i get a better jacket or more layered?
Thanks :)

i dun think u need to layer that much coz when i went during spring, it was generally cooling so a jacket for me is suffice. unless u r the type who usually cant stand the cold in an air conditioned room, then get a slightly thicker jacket bah.

Really depend on your tolerance as what was said, if u usually wear a jacket in normal aircon places like office or lecture halls then i guess u need 1. I went around tokyo in dec without a jacket despite the weather, only a tee with shirt over it, lots of ppl would stare though lol.
