After Hyperdia is dead, i used Japan Travel by Navitime, it’s very good too but now I realise they don’t list the stations along your route. You need to subscribed to paid version for that.

anyone has found a better app?

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/japan-travel-route-map-guide/id686373726

Ver5.5.0
- 4 new search keys related to Japanese culture have been added to our spot search: cherry blossoms, fireworks, autumn leaves, and anime.
- For cherry blossoms and autumn foliage, you can also check real-time information updated daily (cherry blossoms: blooming status, autumn foliage: color change status). Searches can be narrowed down by whether the spot is lit up at night.
- For fireworks, search options include the number of fireworks launched, or by date to match your stay in Japan.
- For anime, you can search for spots related to each work.
- The searched spots are plotted on a map so that you can plan your trip and travel while viewing their locations.

Version 5.3.1
- New feature allows you to check your IC card balance by clicking the IC card button in the upper right corner of the route search screen.
- Route search using Japan Rail Pass now takes into account Nozomi and Mizuho trains, which can now be boarded with the Japan Rail Pass (need to take note if your JR pass is still the older price system).

Mine is still working as usual. Have you updating it? https://static.japan.travel.navitime.com/app-lp/en/index.html

I combined Apple Maps with Navitime. Apple Maps can show the in between stations.

Oh I get it le, the #2 post was the app by JNTO which has been ceased end of Sep 2023.
Yes, that app that ceased was very good. Fully free. The navitime one needs to pay for the feature that shows info on all stops along the journey.

Now playing with Jorudan, quite good.

But then for Jorudan, it does not allow to exclude certain train categories (except paid version) right?

No leh. But the JNTO one was the best. You could even input place names like temple or parks, instead of just station/bus stops.

Navitime can do the same, you can key in the attraction, and it will show you the route according to your transport pass (if you having any).

Ya, but navitime don’t show all the stops during the journey (unless pay for premium) which is what pissed me off. At least Jorudan shows.
