Japan trip 10D

Hey guys,

I'm going to japan in April 2015. My first time to japan, please advise if my itinerary is alright or any recommendation of places that I should include in my itinerary.

I don't plan to hit many places but rather spend more time on each location.

Day 0: touch down on haneda airport, go to hotel and sleep.
Day 1: Kyoto
Day 2: day trip to Nara, then back to Kyoto
Day 3: Kyoto
Day 4: Tokyo
Day 5: day trip to Hakone, then back to Tokyo
Day 6: Disneyland
Day 7: day trip to Asakusa, then back to Tokyo
Day 8: Tokyo
Day 9: Tokyo
Day 10: Tokyo

not visiting Osaka at all?

since u are travelling from tokyo to kyoto and back, it is advisable to get the JR pass as the cost of the Shinkansen to kyoto and back is almost the cost of the JR pass. the JR pass can also cover part of the transport to hakone (from tokyo to Odawara).

not sure wat u mean by day trip to Asakusa coz Asakusa is within Tokyo

where in Kyoto/Tokyo you wanna go? Both cities are quite big

Dun understand why a lot of ppl like to squeeze Tokyo and Kyoto in the same visit of less than 2 full weeks. Ah well, not my money hehe.

Why don't u spend a couple more days in Kyoto and visit Osaka too, like Evilerniex suggested.

For Sakura, I feel Kyoto and its region is still a better place than Tokyo.
