make sure switch is off.
Open water heater cover. Single Screw shd be from below.
U will see wire connector where incoming 3 wire is connected to the heater internal wiring.
Turn on switch.
Use test pen poke the wire connector screw.
If test pen lights up for any screw, means heAter up lorry.

If all 3 screw no light, means wiring/ switch before heater is faulty.
Close back the heater.

Had the same problem few months ago. Called joven and was advised to hire an electrician to repair it. Wanted to change to a similar new unit but was quoted less than $600 to install a new unit plus cut open and patch the false ceiling. Even let joven to do the repair job also cost me more than $220 if i remember correctly. Since the storage water heater already spoiled, i opened up the cover and noticed the heating element was corroded and water started to slowly leak from the gap. Ordered a new heating element and thermal fuse from joven to DIY repair it. Luckily everything went smoothly on first attempt and now it is working and life is back to normal.

Not difficult. You need to use adjustable big spanner to open up the heating element.

But before you do so, check the main switch to see whether it is faulty and turn off the Mcb and than shut off the incoming water (to that storage heater) and release the water in the storage.

After that follow the manual instruction found on the new heating element.

If you are confident enough you can buy the spare part from Shopee.my. The element is about one foot long and it is position at 45 degree angle inside the tank.

Joven charged $60 for heating element and $130 for Labour. My new 68L storage heater lasted me ONLY 1 year and 3 months. However I replaced the similar model joven heater which lasted me 15 years without any problem. So you see, it is really heng suay.

I saw leak from the installation cover of my Joven heater and got a plumbing team to inspect the Joven today.
They told me about the same fault that you mentioned.
They concluded that the heater element need replacement and they are charging $220 for it.
Unfortunately, they took a lousy photo of the water heater and I am unable to verify whether they are lying to me.
Pay them the inspection fee and ask them to go.

My 2nd Joven water tank KO on me just after 6 years. Leaked rusty water on the device itself. Had replaced it with a 707 branded water storage tank. Too many people advised me against buying back that brand for water heater.
