Hi guys, I am new to HWZ, just would like to know anyone here is a fan of katanas?

Who doesn't like katanas lol. If only they are easier to import without restrictions. Thinking of getting either one of Bugei's budget offering or hanwei for tatami cutting. I like the shorter form factor of wakizashi as well.

Haha, I got one from Caesars, but I'm considering to get a live blade one... the musahi red shirasaya caught my eye too

Which did you get from Caesars? Is it decorative blade or a functional blade that has been dulled before sale? Does Caesar sell live blades? I heard that live blades are not allowed to be sold here.

Nah it's a dulled blade. You're right on the fact tht Caesars does not sell live blades... But parallel imports can still be done. Was at a small sword smith shop in Osaka, nice swords but the price was too high for me to risk the shipment

The guy from Sheares told me you can get live blade from them if the price is higher than 1k.

Yeah live blades don't come cheap... Have you collected any thus far? I got the kihon series two years ago, love the finishing of it
