Hi All

i decided to post some questions to ask for advice regarding some things that I can do when visiting Kawaguchi-ko. I will be visiting Tokyo-Kawaguchi-Hakone-Kamakura during 10 days visit in early Nov this year.

This is my 5th time to Japan and also second time in Kawaguchi. Hope to hear some advice or reviews from bros/sisters here who have done some areas of visit. Previously in 2011, i visited the lake and just hang around the lake and just snaps a lot of photos. It was a one day stay over. I didnt visit any of the attractions at all.

This time, I will be visiting with my mother. So that pace is slower and more relaxing. And we are staying one night at a Ryokan. I have been doing my own research but i couldnt decide on the stuffs to do.

Just to seek some advice:

1) Is Healing Village worth going? I will be setting off from Shinjuku at about 8am and expected to reach Kawaguichi station at 10am.

2) Is Kachi-kachi ropeway worth going up? I am only worried that Mt Fuji will be a little shy and hidden by the clouds.

3) oishi park? (Koyo period, so probably nothing to see).

My pre-plan route would be:

1) healing village (11am to 1pm)
2) walk around the lake (take saiko-akogohara bus route back)(2pm-3pm)
3) go to kachi-kachi ropeway. (3.30pm)
4) check in ryokan (along the lake)

thank you in advance!

To be the main attractions of that area is just the onsen. Doing nothing, relaxing and enjoying the onsens..

I went to Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Chureito Pagoda, Music Forest, Kubota Ichiku Museum..

your period got the koyo tunnel and maple corridor to see, It maybe interesting..
