Think the high rental everywhere on this island is killing businesses and brands.
Not too long ago, their flagship at Ngee Ann City was downsized too...pretty sad.
Someone earlier mentioned about KL Kino...yeah that one is impressive...high ceiling...lots of books...very premium feel (the last time i went years ago). Singapore scene is just sad.

Sad. I guess even if i support kino by buying some books also no use. Just a matter of time

Move to the shop next to it. It's former space become Singtel shop.

Sianz. The new shop is almost 50% merchandise, the number of actual books on display is damn sed.

free market is like that.
no demand or demand not enough to sustain... then the business will have to innovate or die off.


But yes, Kinokuniya was a good part of my memory .. both taka and bugis.

The number of books I buy from there is less than the number of books I read in there. hehe.. i am guilty
