Hi everyone, I'm planning my (solo) 2nd trip to Kyoto. I have been there before, so this time i plan to go to places where i missed out last time. Please advise if 8days is an overkill for places i want to visit at a leisurely pace. I will be staying in Kyoto. Tentative plan as below:

Day1: Daitokuji-Ryoanji-Ninnaji.(and surrounding temples)
Day2: Honganji. Imperial Palace. Gion. Kenninji. Pontocho, Kamogawa river (inspired from AHSS).
Day3: [Activate JR pass]Mt Hiei. Fushimi Inari-Tofukuji.
Day4: Koyasan (Hiking,lodging 1 night in temple).
Day5: Long travel back to Kyoto. Hikone castle.
Day6: Kinosaki onsen (stay 1 night).
Day7: Back to Kyoto. Himeji Castle-Mt Shosha.
Day8: Nanzenji, Higashiyama area (and surrounding temples)
Day9: Travel to Tokyo for a few days. [End of JR pass]

Other sights/suggestions are welcomed as i'm in the early planning stages. Thank you!

Day 2. Honganji got one nice garden. Shoseien. Can consider going
Day 3. Hiei, depends on when you going there. I been there in Nov last time. So much colder  quite drastic difference between Kyoto and Hiei. Aso that place quite deserted. A bit scary walking alone from one point to another. When i went, can walk half an hour between sites and don't see anyone.
Day 7. Himeji Castle nearby got Kokoen. Combination ticket with Himeji quite worth it.
