hey guys, my current futjisu laptop battery wont last more than 20minutes currently. I am looking to replace my battery with a new one and i have contacted fujitsu about their battery and it cost a whopping $200 for a new batt so i am looking at alternatives for battery instead but i have no idea how to select a suitable battery that wont spoil my laptop so please advice me on the battery if you have any knowledge on it!

my current batt model is a fujitsu 6 cell 6.2Ah 10.8V product number FPCBP281 model FMVNBP198

I found some alternatives as shown below.

6 Li-ion china cells 4.4Ah $34
6 Panasonic cells 4.6Ah $49
With 6 Samsung cells 5.2Ah $63

does a smaller current put my laptop at risk of catching a fire? i wouldnt want my laptop to burn.

please help! thank you!

I recently also changed my HP laptop battery. I would suggest that you head to SLS and look for those shops on the back alley. I cannot remember whether it was on the 4th or 5th floor.

One hint. Those shops facing the center will charge higher because they take stock from the shops in the back alley. Also some shop uses 3rd party battery rather than original battery. You need to make a decision on how much you want to spend.

As my laptop is non-removable I decided to buy an original battery for slightly less than $100.

You can also take the opportunity to ask the shop if the different battery will affect your laptop. In the end even if you don't buy from them you know the answer. I find the shops in the back alley a little bit more friendly and they may answer your answer.
