Hi guys, I have some issues with my laptop keyboard, Acer V5-573PG.
Only the Fn and ESC key is not working for sometime now and I have tried many solutions including sending emails to Acer only to get replies like factory reset the laptop (which I have also tried).

I am not sure when this started but most likely was after windows 8.1 update.
My laptop was bought on Jan 2014 (sadly warranty is already over).

I have tried:
- factory reset the laptop
- installed all sorts of launch manager from the web including from Acer official website
- running test using keyboardtester.com (no keypress detected even though the key was pressed)
- external usb keyboard ESC key worked (my usb keyboard does not have Fn key)

Does anyone have similar problem? Any Solution?

I have the same model but bought in Malaysia. Also got the same keyboard issue but with "S" and "Cap Lock". Asked ACER how much to repair, they say $180 plus 10 days to repair.

I buy around 900 bucks so not sure if that was worth it. Tried to see maybe BIOS problem and tried updating it which caused the stupid thing to brick.

Try your local repair shop see if can repair or not. I was quoted 100 bucks near my place so it should be cheaper.

I am just guessing here.. but maybe its not faulty keys.. rather it may be a question of re-installing the keyboard.

I have also tried updating my BIOS to the latest, did not solve anything
Reinstalled the keyboard drivers did not help too.

Well, repairing the keyboard seems ridiculous because it's really expensive.

May not be software issue. Could be hardware issue. The letters a, c, e of the keyboard on my dell xps 15 are having issue too - normal press no response and need to press very hard.

To repair the laptop keyboard is very ex - abt 100+ (close to 200 cos need to change whole keyboard). So, I bought external keyboard and connect to my laptop for my typing :)
