Hi experts, given that single day promotions are coming up. Would you be able to recommend me a laptop that cost around $700-$800. This is not for gaming, primarily for work purposes.

Programs I normally use: Microsoft Office, Project, Filmora9. These are the tech specs for Filmora9.

Thank you! :)

Supported OS : Windows 7/Windows 8.1/Windows 10 ( 64 bit OS).
Processor : Intel i3 or better multicore processor, 2GHz or above.
(Intel 6th Gen or newer CPU recommended for HD and 4K Videos).
RAM : 4 GB RAM (8GB required for HD and 4K videos).
Graphics : Intel HD Graphics 5000 or later; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 700 or later; AMD Radeon R5 or later.
2 GB vRAM (4GB required for HD and 4K videos).
Disk : At least 10GB free hard-disk space for installation (SSD-Solid State Disk recommended for editing HD and 4K videos).

Checkout lenovo thinkpads, specifically the e series. Thinkpads are business laptops, but most importantly, the e series fits your budget and needs, while getting the most value per performance out of it.

I would recommend going for the ryzen 5 3500u, 16gb ram. The ryzen 5 is an APU that has 4 cores, 8 threads, which is perfect for multi-tasking, but also comes with graphics than are comparable to amd radeon r7 series. I believe more ram in this case will allow better running of the ryzen APU and better performance when editing your videos.

Also, get a 1080p IPS display panel for better colors and viewing.

May I ask which E series are u referring to? E595?
saw reviews on lenovo website and seems to me build quality is atrocious compared to T series

Thanks. Any other brands to look out for apart from Lenovo? I currently have a Lenovo laptop and it is a huge disappointment with lots of issues eg. freezing screen.

If you're okay with increasing your budget a little more. You can get a Dell Latitude 7000 series with 3 years on site warranty for SGD 939. I personally bought an xps from the dell outlet and has been doing great ever since. Here's the link, https://www.dell.com/en-sg/outlet/ProductDescription?cfID=B4C2F7E90926BF6ADFA6E9429080141B&invID=94743&cyid=3&pid=3&c=sg&l=en&rid=APAC&prdid=&seg=DFB

The Lenovo's are great too, you can check out shopback for some extra discounts I think. Hope it helps :)
