laptop that uses standard ssd ?

Is there any new budget laptops that still use the standard 2.5 inch sad?

My Lenovo y40-70 power switch and cable got crumpled when I did a self laptop fan replacement. Not sure if it's worth repairing at SIM Lim Square as I am not delicate and nimble enough for such repairs. That and the network card died as well. But the Samsung 850 1TB 2.5 inch hard disk is working fine from this set as I did the self upgrade in November 2015 .

Would like to transplant this if possible to the new laptop. Not too particular on weight as I won't be bringing it out of house.

look for laptop that comes with 1tb or dvd drive. the dvd can be replaced with ssd.

for yoir case cheaper to look for replacement cable or power switch.

Yes, most people will replace dvd with ssd because dvd seldom use.
