Laptop to recommend

Hi guys,

Looking for a laptop which has the following:

What I need:
- Full ports for VGA and HDMI
- DVD drive (if possible)
- Screen preferably to be 13" and above
- Good battery life with at least 6 hours
- Light in weight, preferably below 1.5kg but willing to compromise to max 1.8kg if I can get all of the above requirements.
- Budget at max S$1,800

What I don't need:
- Good graphics card for gaming - essentially not intending to use the laptop for gaming

try considering toshiba portege r930?

What I need:

• Full ports for VGA and HDMI has VGA and HDMI. check
• DVD drive (if possible) yes. check.
• Screen preferably to be 13" and above 13.3 inch, 1366x768 max resolution. check. (but now i think the resolution is meh~) i appreciate the matte display.
• Good battery life with at least 6 hours i try not to use my battery as much as possible, in hope of prolonging the battery quality/life as long as possible. currently my battery has 50% charge, and setting the power options to power saver, windows reports 3h33min lifetime (i assume if laptop is left idle.) might hit your requirements. has long charging time however.
• Light in weight, preferably below 1.5kg but willing to compromise to max 1.8kg if I can get all of the above requirements. power adapter will bump up the weight to about 1.8kg. laptop itself is slightly below 1.5kg. checks? i think so.
• Budget at max S$1,800 got mine for $1499. invested in a SSD for $259 and no regrets. check.

What I don't need:

• Good graphics card for gaming - essentially not intending to use the laptop for gaming intel HD 4000. youtube videos are fine. check.

sound quality isn't good. built in speakers are crap. audio output lacks bass (in comparison, my nokia n85 and psp-2000 has better audio quality for the earphones output.).

no fingerprint reader in my model. don't get bluffed by the ones you see on display.

lastly, regardless of your choice, don't forget to burn a recovery CD/DVD! i believe OEMs no longer provide the recovery CD/DVD for years already, the back up partition is found in the HDD!
