laptops/budget gaming recommendation! please help!

im looking for a budget laptop at around 500-800, able to game simple games like dota2, non intel graphics card! either 11inch or 15inchs and above! anyone could recommend me your favourite model? is there any upcoming it fair that we know of?

Acer v5-473g?
i5 + Nvidia 740M but 14-inch (buy during last day of the upcoming IT Show on 2 mar)


Rarely look into 15 inch so have to hope other brothers here could help you.

Cheaper (usually)

I used acer for more than 4yrs with 0 issue. Dont know whether is your friends or my way of handling a book got problem.

maybe ur model was gd.. my friends frm poly all using same model.. they die at the same time within 2yrs

Acer Timeline 3820TG good meh? i don't see poly friends die at the same time leh. You sound exaggerating

jus fo your update guys i bought a ASUS K551L at 959SGD! seems like a good buy totally love the design and specs, comes with warranty, although their afterservice is terrible, the rest of the brands are too, LOL

hmm weight is not a problem for me, have to see on individual preference ba, for me ill use it till 2yrs my warranty expire, sell it online and upgrade new laptop liao! haha

i mean not that similar model.. but my poly year that time the acer laptops..



I agree with you.

It actually depends on which model because different line of model is managed by different design/manufacturing team.

Aspire and timeline models hasn't fail on me. I see my friend using travelmate all having overheating issues.
