The final product lost all appealing factor without the Lego's feel and look. Look more like a cheapo plastic casing with the gloss finish, a matt finish will conceal all the imperfection of plastic shrinkage on the ribs.

Yeah, interesting concept, no wasted space in that sense, but still makes me feel a bit claustrophobic. :s22:

No wasted space inside the case

But what about outside and around the case

I agree that once everything is covered up, it looks like any other plastic case. Perhaps using bricks with different colour can bring out Legoness to it. But I gotta say you need to be quite thoughtful about building case plus proper cooling.

Yeah, that's another thing. I don't think this builder built it to be hidden away. If built for display, space outside and around the case is probably less of a consideration for him.

like what everyone else said.
think not durable enough.
also if you want to clean the dust sibei hard to disassemble and then assemble it back?

but it looks good though.

Not about colour, if you called it Lego, where are the typical lego feel?

If he want to cover everything flat, the Lego signature feature of 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 etc... self-locking disc are totally gone thus look like a cheapo plastic casing rather than Lego casing.

He should left the top without cover, with the self-locking pad, users can place their Lego figuring or other small Lego set on the top for a personal touch and feel.
