hello,

does anyone know where to get support for a Lenovo Ideapad S540.
Background of this, I purchased this 2 months ago in Sept but last month the motherboard died halfway when I using it and I immediately contacted support from lenovo. And they told me that the part was not in stock, so I had to wait for it, that was the end of september. Yet now it is coming to the end of october and the part hasnt arrived i tried calling the support centre and email them but still no definite answer.

Is there a way to get it fixed without voiding my warranty? Because I cannot afford to get a new one. Or do i just bring this down to their service centre and complain. Honestly I have tried asking for a replacement, but was told i needed to wait another 2-4 weeks. wow.

Any help would be appreciated.

maybe tell us your laptop exact model number so we can try our best to help you.

If you get it fix outside their support, it will void warranty for sure.

The only solution is being it back to support. Sucks if you have so long to get a replacement but that will be the best solution moving forward.

Must go bang table one...anyway since laptop already dead...just bring it down immediately and let them keep it.

You keeping a dead laptop for what? Was a ticket even open for your case if you did not go and pass them your laptop...

Since it's new, as suggested, try looking at lemon law.
It's unacceptable as it is already 1 month with another 2-4 weeks for parts to arrive.
Do try to insist on getting your warranty extended.

Would suggest that you do not let a 3rd party repair it, doing so will void any warranty. Since most parts in Singapore are imported from China, they will also have a quoted 2-4 weeks or more , assuming you can find exact FRU on taobao / aliexpress to wait for parts to arrive.
