looking for a desktop build that is less than $2000. will be using it to play cs go & dota 2 and some photo editing only. hope can use gtx 1070 & also I wont be overclocking.

Look at my specs on the right 6 cores 12 threads for the price of 4 cores 4 threads on Intel side. So far looks okay, my most recent games I bought recently is Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Looks good, plays well, no issue whatsoever. Even overclocked to 3.75 GHz on all 6 cores with stock cooler.

Yes, definitely go R5-1600 over i5-7500. I really regret not waiting awhile more for Ryzen. But Uni holiday start I too eager to build lol
