oh well seeing its Big Ange's 1st season there could be a few bizarre results like this Fulham pasting and that BHA loss...

A Tottenham Hotspur legend who left the club in 2024 has recently lifted his first trophy since leaving Spurs. Despite his departure, it's still great to see.

Tottenham Hotspur is a club which prides itself on seeing many great players come through its ranks. However, this unfortunately comes with the territory of seeing many great players leave, as well.

When thinking about staple players of Tottenham Hotspur over the last generation, Hugo Lloris is certainly one of them. The goalkeeper made an incredible 361 Premier League appearances, after all.

However, in 2024, Hugo Lloris left Tottenham Hotspur due to being out-of-favour under new manager Ange Postecoglou. Hugo Lloris is now achieving success at Los Angeles Football Club.

Hugo Lloris recently won the US Open Cup with his new side Los Angeles Football Club. The former Tottenham goalkeeper made four saves throughout the final, conceding one goal but winning.

Speaking after the match alongside his international teammate and famous Tottenham villian Olivier Giroud, Lloris praised the feeling of winning trophies.

In his own words, Lloris said: "A trophy is a trophy. It means a lot for the club and we celebrated with the fans because they deserved it as well. It helps gives us a boost for the end of the season."

The US Open Cup is the first club-based trophy that Hugo Lloris has won since 2012. Despite playing for Tottenham for 12 years, he never lifted a trophy. In this time, reaching three finals.

It is nice to see Hugo Lloris lift trophies now, even if it's away from Spurs. As shown from his international duty, he is a hungry and serial winner who is always striving for the next best thing.

Hugo Lloris is now 37 years of age. He is under contract for the 2024 season in Los Angeles, with an option to extend for a further two years.
