if meet ghost how? no where to run
Ghosts all the way up in the tower with you? Unlikely

More likely severe weather conditions can lead to impending tragedy and you have to jump on boat to save drowning sailors and end up getting killed yourself

Personally this is on my bucket list b4 I RIP. A period of solitude, facing the nature, ghostly.

Foreign lighthouse keeper's jobs are opened to their nationals. That left only SG PSA jobs at:

Pedra Branca
Pulau Pisang
Sultan Shoal
Raffles

Some years ago, I tried applying to PSA, now MPA. I took out most "meat" from my application, leaving only PSLE and O levels. Still got rejected.

I called them, and they said, "I wasn't suitable. Don't meet requirements".

Maybe next, I should remove the job titles and insert a whole series of PT and odd-jobs? Photoshop my pic to look ah-beng and tanned?

Technically, I'm surely qualified.

Engineering background
Comm licence
Can swim
Can scuba dive
Healthy
Has a boat and ocean sailing licence

The job seems routine. I can even do PT and pay them a fee instead of receiving a salary from them.

The job can't be that difficult. Pretty routine.

Covid spoilt my dream. I will try again.

Else, I will just apply to Japanese lighthouses using connect-to.

For some people this type of job can bored them to death. It's supper boring job got no one to talk to for whole mth. Day time mostly hot like mad but night time cold like Fxxk. Don't think the lighthouse got power supply? Don't have internet plus your mobile unlikely got signal as well. What can you do during free times?

Aiyah, in life it is not everything girls, mm and women, although I gave that impression. Between someone from Venus, and reading a book/coding, I prefer my own space and solitude.

So far, the longest tranquil period I had was 3 months in Arctic. So, PSA lighthouse can't be worse than that. I can even learn fishing and farming/planting flowers.

I will try PSA again. Must tick the bucket.

I checked with MPA. They got standby Genset, even telephone and comm sets. Those lighthouses nearer SG mainland has power cable supply.

For me, I just want to try such a life at least once. Will not be boring.

When I was NS in coast guard. Did guard duty in one of the island. Yes, they drop me off on the island and i stayed on it for 2 days.

Food provided. Only human contact was when they delivered 3 meals to me a day

Wah the lighthouse is so short and cute
I think SG's lighthouses all located on a very tiny piece of island of rocks without any building except lighthouse on it. Only lighthouse got shelter the rest all expose to weather. I might be wrong as I've very long time never passed by those lighthouses. During my navy NS days we did a lots of patrol on the water which passed by most of the lighthouse from a distances.

Of course there's power supply
There's portable generators now
And definitely they need power for lighthouse keeper to contact HQ etc for emergencies
