Is it really worth going for liquid metal in the first place is the question I will ask? Sure it can shave off some extra degs, but I don't think it is going to make a significant difference. The problem with laptops is the limited space for a decently sized heatsink and fan. A good thermal compound can help with the heat transfer, but the bottleneck is generally the limited cooling solution.

Im planning to get the aero 15x v8 and from what i see the gpu will throttle under load quite frequently, and many people that did lm repaste said that it lowers the temp enough so that the laptop doesnt throttle.

for desktop not worth it cause you need to delid the cpu, plus liquid cooling with radiator is already overkill for the task.

anyway for laptop there are videos that already proven that liquid metal does chill the gpu/cpu for more than 10 degree under load and zero throttling. To me i feel that it is better off paying 50 sgd to aftershock for liquidmetal and get the warranty covered :)

I guess it depends if the stock thermal paste is crap like I am guessing most will be for mass production from the bigger brands. There was another video where it even helped the macbook pro.

I also read that its good for yearly repaste, does aftershock provide this FOC if the first time already paid the $50 or have to top up again?
