Loei & Chiang Khan

Hi anyone been to Chiang Khan in Loei before? Anything interesting and activities to do over 2-3 day period?

been to chiang khan. i feel that there is nothing much except that stretch of shophouses.

I see..how about the rest of Loei itself? My current plan is as such:

1 Jan
Reach 2pm at udon thani airport - drive via nong khai to loei, mekongriverside resort and camping.
Evening go Chiang Khan walking street and chill

2 Jan
Some boat ride, fishing and stuff at resort, depending on the range available
early afternoon. drive to kaeng khut khu, around Chiang Khan etc. Basically chillax, scenary

3 Jan
Drive down to Muang Loei and Phu Reau National Park, and stay hotel near Muang Loei. Got this winter flower festival and check out mountain view.

4 Jan
Check out and go to Udon Thani airport to return car and fly back bkk.

how come never goes to nong khai, i heard more happening there.

Yeah it is nice but apparently Chiang Khan is super popular with Thais during such holidays..all accommodation in Chiang Khan are fully booked except more cui ones...

I booked this instead which is 1/2 hour drive away..

I went to nongkhai before already. One hour drive away from like udon thani.
