Hi, I know this might not be in the right forum subsection but I couldn't find any 'general' section or one that's relevant to my topic.
I’m looking to buy an item, but I don’t know where to find it or if it is even available.
I have a small dining table from Ikea and I’m using it as a computer/work desk. It’s white and made of wood, so I want to prevent damage to the surface as well as having a solid matte black surface, so that the whole table won’t glow when using a table lamp. I will also have a PC running on the desk and the monitor/kb/mouse are all black. It would be nice if the table surface was dark to reduce eye strain and increase my focus on the monitor image.
So I am looking for some sort of solid plastic panel that could be placed to cover the entire top surface of the desk. It should be pitch black and have a matte but still very flat and even surface that I can write on. I don’t want those flexible tablecloth as they are either uneven fabric or glossy plastic surface that will slide all over the table.
It would be like a shallow rectangular tray (turned upside down) made of opaque black acrylic but with a matte surface, and large enough to be set over the table top. The table’s size is 125×75cm.
If anyone knows where I can get such an item, please please tell me. I know there is a big possibility it will have to be custom made to fit the table’s surface dimensions, so if you know of any shops that can do that, I would like to know as well.
