Hi guys, I am thinking of upgrading my rig. Not sure what can be reused.

Currently looking at GPU SSD and maybe ram ? Not sure if my current motherboard and CPU is ok for another few years ?

I will be using mostly for gaming like cod , bf 1 witcher 3 etc.

Budget around 1k :)

Get GTX 1070, another 2X 4GB RAM and 1TB SSD from Amazon.

Need to upgrade monitor to 4K/60Hz or QHD/>100Hz if you want GTX 1080.

I will be using the monitor to watch YouTube play game like bf1 cod civilization 6 etc budget would be best to go at 500? I will also be using it for ps4 so would need a hdmi cable.

For the refresh rate this is something that I am unsure of currently my monitor is at 60 so nor sure will it make a big difference if go 120 or 140?

Even the difference between 144 and 120 is noticeably smoother. But the difference between 1080p and 1440p is pretty big too. If youre fps orientated, definitely get the 144hz *

Edit: typo not 144p but 144hz

Hey thanks for reply :) not really fps oriented though Hahaha just thinking of the 144 image quality had a big difference or not. But best is below 500 for the monitor lol

500 might be hard to get 1440p@120/140hz...since all these monitor like quite ex for branded one.:o

unless u dun mind qnix or crossover they are usually around that price range and can OC monitor as well.

u can look for them in qoo10.

Im sorry. I made a typo.i meant that if you play shooters go with the 144 hz screen because its a lot smoother than a 60hz screen.
If you care about image quality more than frames per second, a 2560x 1440 screen will look nicer.

500 dollars more than enough to get a monitor with either one of those specs.but if you want a monitor that is both 1440p and 144 hz, got to pay more money
