Looking to upgrade PC

I am running linux with vmware in win7 64bit and find that the performance in linux is lagging in every aspect. Things like opening a cmd prompt, browser, startup, etc takes some time to complete.
my current pc spec is on the right ... please advice what kind of upgrade can improve the situation.
