loud pop sound from cpu

recently my home computer exhibited an issue i cant identify :

switch on the computer, after surfing a while, suddenly got a loud pop sound and room circuit breaker(ECB) trip.
now computer cant on anymore after switch on ECB. Other appliance in the room such as monitor working ok.

any idea where's the loud pop sound came from?

Is your com branded? If so, send for rma. Gt chance the psu may kaput.

PSU most likely fried, since it caused short circuited your house. Along with it chances are your motherboard and other connected hardwares maybe damaged as well. Best to bring it down to someone to diagnose, unless you have spare hardwares to test it yourself.

If ur com is branded,try locating where is the psu and smell it. If there is a burn smell coming from it, then high chance psu gone case le. Need to send back for rma.

1st, check power cables, then check electrical socket outlet.

If above no problem, check your power supply unit in your computer casing.

Should be your psu gone kaput.

I kena before, doing things happily on my com then "boom!".

Whole house short circuit, can't turn on com after that.

Burning smell somemore, then sent to sim lim to check, psu exploded lol.

ok thanks guys, looks like the consensus is psu...

no not branded pc as self-assembled n OOW.
guess need to replace the psu.
hoping and praying that other parts are not affected by this....will update when resolved.
