hi wondrdoggie, nope my biz proposal is not for venture fund.. its simply a service whereby i link 'fund demanders' to 'fund suppliers'..

Yeah, the thing you're describing here is a boutique M&A firm that specialises in small tech firms. It's a mini-Houlihan Lokey. You have to pay for lawyers, you have to pay for admin staff, you have to pay for VPs and MDs to hunt down the sellers, and you have to pay for VPs and MDs to hunt down the buyers. None of those things come cheap.

And you'll have to hunt down a lot of acquisition targets, because the usual charge for M&A is a percentage of the deal value; small targets means you have to do high volume.

well it seems currently those successful M&A advisors are too well-paid that they see no point in taking on this industry pioneering move..

Just saying, mate - you have an awfully high opinion of yourself if you think this is an "industry pioneering move".

I see. I guess I didn't read TS correctly! For other industries I may not be familiar with, but for the tech startup scene, it's pretty small in SG. The local buyers are typically the bigger guys, the listed firms. Not hard to figure who they might be. Foreign buyers are those that want a SEA presence, you can google to find out who are the main players in the US or Europe. Sellers side, well, you just have to attend industry talks, organised pitches and you will have the chance to meet them all. It's a small pond here! :s13:
