As nobody is going to compare speed everyday as oppose to reliability to get connection

only when u fail to connection then a person will start to monitor

even 2 bar coverage can get better experience and speed than 4 bar coverage

and 1-2 bar coverage is usually cmi network for this thread

Anyway, see what I have here sitting at my balcony!

On the left is Heya (2 Bars) and on the right is Maxx (4 Bars).

Heya failed to get pass 30mbps for DL whereas Maxx managed a whopping 80+ for DL.. This result has been super consistent as I said before that SingTel signal has been weak at my balcony and living hall since the Big Bang!

Personally, a higher DL speed is good for super fast Google Apps updates which is very pleasing indeed!

Comparing it to my previous SIMBA. Its tiny DL speed of less than 6mbps during Google Apps Updates took trillions years to complete the downloads!

is it possible to continue to use the base plan when you buy online? or you still have to pay monthly at $14?

Likely your credit card information will be saved when you buy the plan online. So have to find a way to remove the credit card or otherwise think outside of the box for ways to stop any recurring payment.

3.5 weeks in with Maxx on my secondary phone.

The connection, speed and coverage are all good wherever I go, be it at home, on MRT, buses, in car and at my work place!

M1- Maxx netwrok is okay wah! Why was it being bombarded so badly?

because M1's really bad at all places i go, which happens to be almost whole SG.

I still really don't believe it leh coz my 3.5 weeks with Maxx has been good wherever I have gone to.

However, for me, i encounter countless people calling me couldn't get thru inbound calls even with 4 bars reception, or problem placing outbound calls at all, or outbound calls couldn't hear each another, data shows 4G/LTE -- but nothing, etc.

I've moved out of M1 after tolerating the above for years and finally gave up. All my acquaintances on M1 are moving outwards too. I'd say Simba win hands down comparing to M1.

Okay! Everyone is moving out of M1 - Maxx but I'm moving in my primary line from Heya today to see how bad or how good it is.

1730hrs: Login to Maxx app.
1732hrs: Select Port-in from my Heya line.
1734hrs: Maxx SMS that my Port-in is requested.
1737hrs: Maxx SMS that my Port-in request is approved.
2345hrs: Heya line terminated.
0010hrs: Heya line ported-in to Maxx and all are good!
