Excatly! We all are tech and internet savvy and we know where to get the info before purchasing it over the counter.

Ah beng cannot chop extra $ from us lol.. 🤭 😬
So no misc free from Ah Beng, just pay for the plan you choose? I'm thinking of getting a line from Beng.

No. I paid the pro-rated penalty of $25+.
So it's not 24 months? :s11:

  • All Lucky mobile numbers are sold at a discount of 50% (unless otherwise specifically stated for special promotions), and the price that the customer paid is after the discount is applied. The discount is provided to the customer on the condition that the customer continues with a valid mobile plan with SIMBA for a period of 24 months from the activation of the Lucky mobile number). The discounted amount will be chargeable to the customer if the customer requests for porting-out or the customer’s mobile plan is terminated for any reason whatsoever, before the expiry of the period of 24 months from the activation of the Lucky mobile number. The amount chargeable would be pro-rated based on the number of remaining months until the expiry of the 24 months.

Pro rated. My SIMBA lucky number just past the first 30 days. So, I was being pro rated charged the remaining 23 months out of my $28 paid for the lucky number.

Oh, so it's $28 / 24 x 23? Thanks!
Yes Sir!

Those who piut $3888 or $8888 than jialat but then again those who can afford to pay that high price. $8888 is likes 8.888 cents to them lol...

Remember also! One must wait for after the first 30 days. Else, there is another $30 charge for early termination / port out within the first 30 days for SIMBA Plan.

There is a procedure to do it, it was discussed few pages before. I think is to call the hotline to stop the recurring payments or request via Maxx app cant remember. You may plough through this thread to check or just call the hotline.

How is the penalty paid, since the monthly bill is charged in advanced? Charged to credit card or you just top up the wallet for them to deduct?

Must pay at its Kaki Bukit HQ over the counter only for the penalty.

Just tell the counter staff that you wanna port out the Lucky Number at a later date and wanna pay the penalty.

Don't say you want to Terminate else your Lucky Number is gone.

So, depending on your billing cycle and payment deduction date and your visit date. You might ended up paying for the 2nd month already via the auto deduction from your enrolled CC or balance in the SIMBA Wallet.

So, play your date right.

Spotted an M1 Maxx retailer and popped in to look-see. Yup, left with a new SIM card  since no extra charge but just the $12 plan. Instant activation so turned off Wi-Fi to give mobile data a run almost 24/7.

Went to choose number "because I can" and ended up liking it (perhaps) better than the Simba one. :s13:

OK... we. shall. see.

(Before someone comes and say "M1 sucks", I already have an M1 and a Maxx before this. M1 works well for me, sometimes even better than the red umbrella.)

Wow!

Awesome! Maxx also allowed you to search for your "Lucky number " for free. :) :D

Thank you for your support. M1/Maxx network is that good. (y) :)

How did you choose number ? My retailer did not give me any option. Just did it on his phone and pass me the sim card.

Does not matter to me as I port in same day but curious to know in case next time need another number

Choosing a number is part of the registration process. That is, during the registration in the app, you'll be asked to choose a number. Maybe because you said you planned to port in, so retailer just picked a random number.

For mine, I told them I wanted a new line and confirmed I'd be able to choose a number. I thought they'd a pile but turned out they'd to take my ID for registration, then passed me the phone with some numbers on the screen. Either refresh for new numbers or key a few numbers and a list with those numbers will appear.

Next time you need another number, just tell them beforehand that you want the option to choose numbers.

Help needed.

I have a spare line and just ported into Maxx last month. Prior to the porting, I actually called 1693 to check with them if I can cancel the recurring bundle (and just keep the base plan) after I port in via their online portal with the S$10 20GB plan. I was told that I shall call the hotline again several days before the end of the first billing cycle to cancel it manually (as I can't do it via the app).

However, when I called today, I was told I couldn't cancel the recurring bundle and if I do so, my number would be terminated. I doubted her saying and this customer service officer even checked with her superior, according to her, and told me it was true (that is, can't cancel the recurring bundle).

I wonder any expert here can confirm her saying or any one had similar experience as me.

If I'd like to port out from M1 Maxx at the end of the first billing cycle, is there any penalty? I checked with her, she said no. I really don't know if I should believe what they say now.

TIA.
