I think I short-circuited the Mac Pro 2006 front panel USB (by inserting a wet iPad cable)..

Computer can go into safe boot, but front panel USB not usable. rear USBs are usable.

Anywhere in Singapore which sells this front panel?

Also, is it easy to change? Any soldering needed (i hope not!)?

Your chance of getting a new one is almost zero, head down to sim lim square and I'm sure you can get it off from one of the shops who service macs there - no guarantee though.

You can also get it online via eBay who got their Mac Pro stripped for parts sale just make sure you check and confirm the correct part number

The front panel board connects to the backplane board via a cable therefore no soldering necessary - just some screwing here and there to secure to the case.

I hope it's just the front panel board that's failed on you and not the backplane board itself because there's a chance that it might have short circuit some components there as well.
