Using my macbook air as desktop occasionally plugged into monitor with lid closed.

Usually I'll leave the power plugged the whole day. Will this affect the MBA battery life? If so, how should I manage my power/battery better?

Thanks

According to Apple it is ok to run your macbook on power. Just remember to run it on battery at least once a month to keep the electrons moving.

Electrons are moving around, irrespective of plugged in or not :D

No there wouldn't be any issue to the LiPo battery. But that doesn't stop your battery from degrading over time. Wear and tear happens to your batt regardless you use it or not. The chemical in it will lose its effectiveness over time. Just set the correct expectation will do
