i bought a new hard drive for my macbook cos previous hdd crashed. i lost my OS cd, where can I download or buy one?

can i use any OS cd or must use back Lion?

you can purchase OS X 10.6 snow leopard from online store.. thats the only way as it is not available in stores.

TS.. Best to try getting it from someone and burn to a 8GB thump drive for fresh installation since you are installing a new HDD..

10.6.8 is snow leopard, get it from the apple online store. $25.99
the DVD that is shipped is actually 10.6.3, run a sw update to get it to 10.6.8

if i'm not wrong, they stopped selling the physical OS in the SG online apple store.. but still can find in some resellers or amazon
